Beginning of the line-up of bands ran as follows The Slashtones, Mr.
Impatient, Suffrajett, Lazy Suns, The
Waldos, The Bouncing Souls and The
Saints. I got time to check out more well only The Saints, The Waldos
and The Bouncing Souls. The Slashtones started a night well, but I
wished they
could have rocked a longer set. After them, again I was so busy with
meeting and chatting with old and new friends (of whom many I only see
once a year, in
this yearly event) + talking with artists. Between the bands were
showed videos chosed by George Seminara (one of the producers of End Of
The Century movie and director of many Ramones videos etc.), but of
the some reason not so much than before.
The Saints are from Australia and they opened their set with song Porno
Movies. Stage was crowded like you can see from the picture. Joey was fan
of The Saints and it was reason why they were invited to the show. What
I've heard, Joey especially liked of the hit song (I'm) Stranded and it
was played as a second track. I did enjoyed to hear as well Firewould (Just
Like) and Nights In Venice. The Bouncing Souls was the most energetic band
of the night. You could notice many The Bouncing Souls T-shirts in the
crowd and especially younger fans were having fun. Many also climbed to
the stage, like one girl was doing stage surfing four times during few
minutes. Also crowd was singing along a lot.
In this page you can see photos of Dez Cadena (Black Flag/ Misfits) and
Josie Montserrat, who looks like she's around 20 years young. Of
Josie I've already wrote in this picture-story
report. She has taken those six black and white photos in next 2 pages.
Josie also knows
well with Dez Cadena. I and Dez are tried to do interview few times, but
always has come some obstacles. Now I, Dez and Josie had meeting at
Manitoba's on May 20, 2005. Our interview lasted around 40 minutes
(you can read interview
from Ramones: Soundtrack Of Our Lives) and it
was nice to hear his Ramones related stories also of the side of LA scene
and how much he gives credits to the Rodney Bingenheimer. Of course we
talked as well of The Misfits - Dez, Marky Ramone and Jerry Only were
touring together as a Misfits around four years and as a Osaka
Popstar together with John Cafiero and Ivan Julian.
