MARKY RAMONE RECORDED
ALBUM WITH THE TEENAGE HEAD
BACK TO
MARKY
Release date in the Canada: April 22, 2008 (not April
8).
Release date in the USA: June 10, 2008.
I informed here on my Ramones page Blitzkrieg's Psycho Therapy Bop
first time in 2003-2004 that Marky Ramone and "Ramones producer" Daniel
Rey were visiting Canada for four days in April 2003. They stepped into
the recording studios with Canada's greatest punkrock band ever, Teenage Head, to
record old Teenage Head tunes, including Little Boxes, Top Down, Lucy
Potato, Teenage Beer Drinking Party, First Time, You're Tearin' Me
Apart, Some Kind Of Fun and Let's Shake.
Line-up:
Marky Ramone: drums.
Frankie Venom: vocals.
Gordie Lewis: guitars.
Steve Marshall: bassist.
So Daniel Rey produced songs. It took them only six hours rehearsal
to ready themselves for three days in Hamilton's Catharine North
Studios. Gordie Lewis tells on my second book Rock In Peace:
Dee Dee And Joey Ramone also of those recordings. Gordie Lewis wrote
to me in 2007 that Sonic Unyon Records is the name of
the label in Canada. They distribute album worldwide. So release date
is April 22, 2008 (not April 8) in the Canada and June 10 in the USA.
Album is also downloadable via iTunes and Zunior.com
