Misfits launched Misfits Records in 2002. In 2002, producer and
Misfits' ex-manager John Cafiero orchestrated a collaboration between the
Misfits and Japanese horror punk band Balzac.
First Misfits Records release was Misfits/ Balzac split CD-single.
Misfits covered a Balzac song The Day The Earth Caught Fire and Balzac
covered a medley of 2 Misfits songs, The Haunting and Don't Open Til
Doomsday.
Misfits track features Marky Ramone on drums. The single was released as
a CD. There were also plans of edition vinyl 45, but...
The Same Misfits-Balzac split CD was released in Japan via Balzac's
parent label in Japan, DIW/Disk Union, under the title Don't Open
'Till Doomsday.
